My Logo

I have been trying to come up with a logo for myself. This is much more difficult then I expected. I have always loved fancy lettering and old type so in my first design I studied lettering and flourishes to create this letter "R" (representing my last name Redford)
I loved it, but for a logo it is much to busy and honestly it unfortunately looks to much like a gang members tatto and I was going for elegant and tatto just doesn't say elegant so I changed it. I saw some circle logos and thought I'd try it. this is what I got.
I know. I know. It is the marriot hotel logo. Bummer. I liked this one too, but not as much as the first and It looks much to similar to the hotel chain. I thought is elegant curves are not working of me why not try a not modern geometric look and this is the logo.
I chose the bigger of the two. I do like the highly masculine look, but I don't know if it is me. This is the logo I will have untill I can design one that I feel better represents me, but not a bad start.

Love is forever poster

Camille and I purchased a poster frame for a Voge poster she bought a year ago, but that poster did not fit the frame. So with some thought I decided to print a design of my own on the blank backside of the paper ad that came with the frame. I did a repeating alphabet with the letters "L O V E I S F O R E V E R" highlighted in a purple (one of my favorite colors and Millie and my wedding color as well.

Here are some photos of what the poster looks like up on my apartment wall

Practice

Just having some fun with illustrator and reading some online tutorials and got this. Kind of neat. Love the vintage feel with it.

Birthday Cards

There have been a few birthdays in the family and I thought instead of buying a card I could design one and it would be tailored specifically to that person.

This one was for my Brother-in-law. He really likes the Hudson Hornet, so I had to include it. It's such an old car and has that vintage look and feel to it and it is this that inspired me to give it the look of what an old Hudon Hornet car ad. would look like in a paper or in an old car magazine.

This next one was designed for my Father-in-law. He is a very handy man, he can fix and build just about anything. So the first thing that came to my mind was to use scaffolding somehow in the design but that just sounded boring to me and my wife. So I decided to keep it simple and go for a masculine design that is inspired by 1940s/50s mens cologne packaging. I think the final turned out nice.

Haske Warrior Strength

Haske Warrior Strength is a strength training and health blog turning into a future strength training and supplement distribution company. I was asked to create a logo and three different warriors from around the world to be placed on the backs of t-shirts. This is the out come.
